Hi there and welcome to my pottery page.  My name is Mika and I'm glad you found me.

I have been working with clay since 2010 after an introductory course at a University in Southwest Virginia.  Since then, I have continued to find ways to explore clay and remain familiar, and have just recently become completely immersed in the world of ceramics.  With some good fortune in 2020, I was able to join a lovely community of potters in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains.  After years of skirting around my fascination with pottery, the Make Waynesboro Clay studio launched me into a state of pure bliss and nostalgia during a wheel-throwing class.  My hands quickly remembered what my heart had forgotten and I finally felt I had found my feet as a potter.  You can find my pots at Marie Bette Cafe in Charlottesville. You can take classes with me at Make Waynesboro Clay Studio. And you can visit with me at McGuffey Art Center in Charlottesville, Virginia where I will be sharing studio #27 with five other incubator residents until June of 2024.
